1 cup of Almond Milk (homemade if you want to keep it raw)
2 tbsp Raw Cacao Nibs (you can substitute dark chocolate chunks, but you will be missing out on an
awesome raw superfood addition)
*optional 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon (Yes, I have a cinnamon obsession.)
Pulse the bananas (and cinnamon if you decide to add it) in a food processor or blender until they start to form a mash. Then add the almond milk and and Cacao Nibs. Blend/puree until smooth. Pour into an airtight container and freeze for about 1 hour. I like a softer ice cream, so I usually take out the ice cream and let it thaw a bit before scooping it into dishes to devour.
Top ice cream with any of your favorite toppings: chopped walnuts, unsweetened coconut flakes, cinnamon, or maybe even some homemade Cocoa Sauce.
Did you know that Almonds are higher in calcium than almost any other plant food, making them a great choice for raw, vegan and non-dairy eaters. (100 Best Health Foods, p. 196)
Did you know Raw Cacao is a rich source of antioxidant flavonoids that promote cardiovascular health, protect against toxins, and improve circulation, blood pressure, and regular heartbeat? Also, this superfood is rich in manganese, helping to oxygenate blood; rich in magnesium, helping to balance brain chemistry, and rich in sulfur, helping to build strong hair, nails, and promoting beautiful skin.
